Blender Merge Uv Islands
I installed the uv island tools addon but that hasn t helped.
Blender merge uv islands. Unwrapping these individually obviously creates separate islands. I ve never used the sapling addon so no clue about any of that but to transfer a uv map you d select all your un mapped leaves then shift click your already unwrapped leaf then hit control l and select transfer uv maps. In the next 60 seconds you re fundamental uv mapping tool belt will be complete. I don t understand how attach two uv maps pieces.
With that you could unwrap and pack everything but the faces that are supposed to be stacked and then copy a uv shell select the faces in the 3d view that are supposed to be stacked. Here i show you a method for merging. Is there a way to join two uv islands together so when i press average island scale pack uv s they will remain on top of each other. I ve just started uv unwrapping a simple object in blender and am trying to get more useable texture resolution by using the same uvs for multiple similar uv islands in this case the mesh is simple so the islands i want to merge are single polygons.
Blender 2 77 windows 10 64bit hi trying to move uv islands but polys connected properly in the mesh are being left behind or are not included in the island selection. Sometimes your models contain more than one uv map uv layer for example after you have joined multiple meshes with different uv map names to a single object. The outline of your unwrapped leaf will be yellow. Sewing welding remove double merge will not connect the uvs so they can be selected together.
I m unwrapping my model for uv mapping and there s a lot of parts that i would like to share the same island space. In blender 2 79 is a so called magic uv add on included has to be activated in prefs which might have some useful features like copy pasting uv shells. What i would like to know is if it s possible to merge these two islands together so that effectively two different polygons are pointing to the same polygon of island space. To merge two vertices that make up a mesh move one close to the other and click rem doubles in your editing panel buttons window.
